Bought

 

I pick up this shed antler and hunk of rose quartz for a whopping total of $10 at this past weekend's City Wide Market (for size reference, the quartz is larger than a baseball).

 

I planned on using them on a tray on my coffee table or on a side table. . . but Emmett kept trying to steal the antler, so I'll have to find a place that he won't be able to reach.  Darn chihuahua, messing up my decorating plans!

Good Morning Sunshine!

 

So, I bought a chair. . . a sunshine yellow knock-off shell chair with an Eiffel base that I got for a song. I have too many chairs for a house as small as mine (don't tell my mom that I admitted that), but some women buy shoes. . . I buy chairs (well, I did buy a pair of shoes too). 

 

I'm not a huge fan of the chrome base, but I wasn't going to pass a bargain because of shiny metal, that's what spray paint is for. . . now I just have to figure out where the heck I'm going to put it.

Let There Be Storage!

In a totally un-Laurendy like move, I made a decision! I bought the kitchen cart cabinet thingie that I blogged about last week!

And, in all honesty, I didn't really make the decision on my own. . . my mom sorta did it for me - she called me on Saturday morning and told me it was on sale and that we were going to go look at it that afternoon. . . then she did something only a mother can get away with - she called back 15 minutes later and told me that we weren't going to go out to look that them because she had already had her friend pick up one for me. . .

So while I didn't actually have to make up my mind,  I did have to open my wallet, and that has to count for something!

It goes with nothing I own, but it was just so darn cute I couldn't pass it up! (and the $12.95 price tag hurt either)

I've been in love with Design House Stockholm Carrie Basket for what seems like forever.

So, when The Container Store decided to close these puppies out, so I picked up two. I got them both for less than $20! SCORE!

Girlie pink creamer and saucer set - well, the saucer is suppose to go with a tea cup, but they were being sold together and it works, so who cares.

Okay, so it's not something I would normally pick out, but I it's cute, and it's pink, and I'm a sucker for cute and pink.

Light-up plastic snowman from 1963 and the best part, it's never been used - how awesome is that?

This was my first purchase in North Carolina - bought at an antique mall in King.

All I seemed to do while I was in North Carolina was shop. Of course I did spend time with my brand new niece and I did go down to Charlotte one day to visit a friend from college - but guess what, we took the baby shopping with us, and my friend in Charlotte took me to the mall! I'll be sharing some of my more fun purchases with you over the next week or so.
