The K & A Apartment Project: Work Space

In a bit of extra space behind the sofa and in between the bedroom and patio doors is an area that is going to be used as a work space.

We want to mix the pieces already there (a desk & leaning bookshelf) and new pieces to create a space that is comfortable to work in while blending seamlessly into the living room -





I want to fill the shelf with pretty storage pieces (it is a work space after all) and some more fun & quirky objects that reflect K & A's personalities.

As for the desk we need to find a good comfy chair and a task light for late night photo editing.  Then dress up the space with some nifty letter shaped corkboards spelling out the work "photo" (as per K's request) and a few pieces of art in simple black frames (here & here).

 

Design Note: if this space wasn't being used for a work space I would totally go for a gallery wall with a cafe table like this one.
