Summer Market

This is the first year that our local Green Market has been open during the summer. Normally they pack it in at the end of April, just when the heat starts to become unbearable.  All summer long Kelly and I have been saying that we need to go check it out. . . of course we waited until what could possibly be their last weekend open to do so.  Sometimes we aren't so smart.
We were surprised by the number of venders that came out at the end July (good lord, it was hot).  My favorite honey guy was there, Kelly's pickle guy was there. . . we both went home with great hauls and full bellies (Kelly tried the cheese tamales, I had some conch fritters).
It was a good morning and I totally wish we would have done it sooner.
