Fighting Florida

One of the decorating dangers you face when you live in south Florida is the overwhelming urge to use beachy decor. Living just a mile inland means you are constantly exposed to all things sea shell and shabby. . . and sometimes it takes all the will power I can muster to run the other direction. And lately Pottery Barn has not been helping matters -

I could totally work some faux coral into my modern decor. . . right?
