I Hate Spiders

I'm not sure what the heck is going on, but all of a sudden there are spiders everywhere in my yard - I mean everywhere. . . and I HATE HATE HATE spiders. They freak me out. The spiders got so bad that I stopped taking Emmett out in the back yard and my roommate had taken to parking on the street. Her normal parking spot in next to the bushes and she would come out in the morning to have webs connecting her car to the bushes.

The type of spiders that have been laying claim to my yard are the Spiny Orb-weaver Spider or Gasteracantha Cancriformis - doesn't that just sound scary.

While they are small (about the size of a lady bug) they are extremely scary looking and give me a major case of the wiggens.

I am not a fan of pesticides. I try to use natural bug repellents at all times, but these darn spiders just wouldn't go away. . . I couldn't take it anymore and I went ahead and bought some spider killer for the yard (hey, at least it was water based) and it worked like a charm. . . I know it was wrong, but I would do it again in a heartbeat - I just really hate spiders.
