When I was little my mom would take me to work with her on Christmas Eve. She worked for an insurance statistical (?) company (to this day I still don't know what she really did) and Christmas Eve was her company's "family day". My mom and I would go in early so that we could have breakfast in cafe - I had my first bagel there. After breakfast my mom would take me upstairs to her cubicle and let me rearrange her bulletin board, then we would go cubicle to cubicle meeting all her co-workers (most who had some sort of candy in anticipation of all the children).
Once all the kids were about to burst from sugar consumption they would send us kids into a large meeting room and project Christmas movies onto a wall for us (this was back in the 1980s, so this was beyond cool at the time). When the movie was over our parents would find us and take us downstairs to the cafe for the company holiday lunch.
