Fraud is horrible, but unfortunately the SoFL real estate market is plagued with many other problems such as the homestead exemption laws which unfairly burden new homebuyers. The ridiculously high cost and difficulty in obtaining insurance and last but not least, the fact that it was a bubble area. Probably the worst after LA and Vegas. We actually got our house in NY cheaper than we would have been able to buy something in SoFl!

I'm so sorry you are having such a hard time getting a loan. Hang in there, it will happen.. just requires a little "Stick-to-it-iveness" ;)
